Jay Cutler had a long NFL career. In that time, he became a polarizing figure. The arm talent was there and he had some great moments. He was also prone to mistakes and turnovers though.

This made Cutler a must-watch, because you never knew what was going to happen. Couple that with the way he seemed to have a very nonchalant attitude towards things, and Cutler was loved and hated by many.

In his retirement, he has only gained more support though. Fans seem to really have taken a liking to Cutler. It looks like ESPN and CBS are interested in cashing in on that popularity.

According to Bobby Burack of TheBigLead.com, both ESPN and CBS have expressed interest in Cutler as a potential broadcaster.

While expressing interest is far from actually hiring someone, this certainly brings in some fun possibilities.

Jay Cutler could be extremely entertaining in the booth. He has knowledge of the game, but a different type of attitude that you don't always see in broadcasting. That could make things interesting and be a nice change of pace from the normal scene.

Due to that, it's fun to think about the types of broadcasts you could get while watching football with Cutler paired up with someone else.

For now though, this is only interest. Remember, this is someone people were talking about returning to the NFL just a few months ago. He probably wants to keep his options open at the moment and take his time to decide what is best for him and his family.

Both ESPN and CBS could make tempting offers, as could an NFL (or XFL) team. We'll see what Jay Cutler decides down the road. Who knows, maybe he opts out of all and just sticks to the nice retired life.
