Colin Kaepernick workout videos have been going viral on social media of late as he tries to convince an NFL team to take a chance on him despite not playing since the 2016 season. Football trainer David Robinson was involved with a Kaepernick workout in Dallas earlier this month, and he's claiming at least five NFL teams have asked him about the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, according to TMZ Sports.

Robinson didn't get into any specifics about the inquiring teams, but he did tell TMZ what he told them:

“He definitely has the ability to play on somebody's roster — like, right now,” Robinson said. “Like, a couple of the guys that were in the session that were on NFL teams were saying that his arm is just as strong as guys' that we got on our roster right now and can play.”

“So, yeah. He looked real good.”

Here's some footage from the workout:

Kaepernick is still trying to get back in the NFL after being blackballed for his social justice activism, which featured kneeling during the national anthem. He filed a grievance against the league that accused owners of trying to keep him out and ultimately settled in 2019.

Later in 2019, the NFL set up a special private workout for Kaepernick, with all 32 teams invited. He ultimately decided to change plans at the last minute in order to make it a public event, and he wound up throwing for scouts from seven teams. He didn't get signed after that.

Now in 2022, the 34-year-old Kaepernick still isn't giving up on playing again. It certainly feels like a long shot that a team will actually give him a chance at this point, but perhaps somebody takes a leap of faith and brings him to training camp.
