As the XFL attempts its comeback that will hopefully last longer than the two months it was in operation back in 2001, signing Antonio Brown wouldn't be the ideal start. As the controversial receiver has stated that he is done with the NFL, it leaves people to speculate where else he could possibly end up.

He is anything but the first, now ex-NFL player, to be linked to the league as the moment Andrew Luck retired it was thought that he might come back and join the league that his father is now helping run.

As the XFL is trying to preach its legitimacy, it has shown no interest in having Brown become the biggest name to sign to the league yet, per Pro Football Talk.

Just as other NFL teams are doing, they seem to be waiting out the pending investigations that have tagged Brown. Although it would definitely bring headlines and buzz to the league, it might not be the kind of buzz they were hoping for.

Brown went on quite the Twitter tirade early Sunday morning as he threw his former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger under the bus by tweeting a screenshot of an article that stated how Roethlisberger was charged with sexual misconduct.

He also threw shade at Patriots owner Robert Kraft in his well known sexual solicitation case as well as Shannon Sharpe. As these incidents clearly show, Brown seemed to take no prisoners in what seems to be his way out of the league — possibly for good.
