The Cleveland Browns finally made the NFL playoffs. Unfortunately, now they are now battling more positive COVID-19 cases than any other playoff team, including head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Jeff Lloyd, the host of the daily Locked On Browns podcast, was joined by Holly Wetzel of Awful Announcing. The pair talked about how the NFL has mishandled the playoffs and that they should have done something about preventing these positive cases.

Wetzel: Look, the NFL has got to really figure out, first of all, I think they really screwed this up from the beginning that they have been not consistent. I know that their defense against the Broncos and Ravens game is that the Broncos broke NFL COVID protocols, the Ravens had an outbreak. Well, if no one on the Browns broke COVID protocols, and now we are out 17 players in two weeks via Adam Schefter, plus five coaches, there has got to be a way to step in. And I do not know, there should have been planning ahead for the playoffs because what happens if it is the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes tests positive the day before? What do they do?

Lloyd: We are going to have to watch Chad Henne in the Super Bowl?

Wetzel: Exactly. This has now become a major league issue and they (the NFL) have to figure out how to get this contained through testing or should they have had a bubble and planned for it.
