The Carolina Panthers and Greg Olsen decided it was best to part ways, and it didn't take long for Olsen to begin looking elsewhere to play next season. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Olsen is set to visit with the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills.

Recently, it was reported that Olsen could rejoin Ron Rivera in Washington. It appears that is now confirmed as the veteran tight end is going to meet with his former head coach this week.

Besides the Redskins, Olsen is going to sit down with the Bills. Of course, Olsen has some prior experience working with Brandon Beane—the general manager of the Bills.

Prior to becoming the GM in Buffalo, Beane was once the director of football operations in Carolina. As a matter of fact, he was crucial to the Panthers signing Olsen in 2011.

Seeing that Olsen is meeting with the Redskins and Bills, he wants to play for someone he's comfortable with. Both Rivera and Beane could provide Olsen the reassurance he needs as he nears the end of his career.

In his 13th season in the NFL, the former first-round pick corraled 52 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns. Not only did he record decent numbers, but he also did so with three different quarterbacks under center in 2019.

Following his release from the Panthers, Olsen seems to be considering a multitude of options before he makes an official decision. However, if he does intend to play in 2020, it will almost certainly be for a team that employs someone he's worked with before.
