Currently an unrestricted free agent, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston will now officially begin seeking employment elsewhere. While there was still a slim chance that the former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick could potentially return to Tampa Bay next season, former New England Patriots quarterback and soon-to-be Buccaneers signal caller Tom Brady put an abrupt halt to those plans on Tuesday evening.

With Brady now slated to take over as the starting quarterback in Tampa Bay, Winston will obviously be forced to find his second NFL home after previously spending his entire professional tenure as a member of the Buccaneers. However, there is just one little problem with that — there are only 32 franchises throughout the league and there might not be any room left for Winston as a starter in 2020-21.

According to a Tuesday evening report from Adam Schefter of ESPN (via Bleacher Report), Winston is not expected to land a starting quarterback job for this upcoming season.

Although Winston is widely known for his ability to throw the football to the opposition on a regular basis, the former Florida State Seminoles standout also possesses the ability to really sling the rock. Encompassing both of those notions last season alone, Winston infamously ranked No. 1 in the league in passing yards, No. 2 in touchdown passes and No. 1 in interceptions thrown.

With the 2020 NFL Draft still scheduled to take place at the end of April, it might be quite some time until Winston ultimately finds his next employer, and as a backup for the first time.
