NFL quarterback Jay Culter has finished his 12th season in the NFL after a one-year stint with the Miami Dolphins, which has brought into question whether retirement is ahead of him.

In the meantime, his wife, Kristin Cavallari asked him in her “Very Cavallari” reality show on E! Network what he simply does all day now that his playing days are behind him.

It is a major shift for Cutler with her NFL career looking to be over as there haven't been any significant offers for him to get another chance to start. The Dolphins' situation happened to work out in his favor as it was a perfect storm as there was a vacant starting job to play under his former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who is now the head coach in Miami.

Cutler struggled to play effectively in 2018 where he threw for 2,666 passing yards on 62.0 percent completion rate along with 19 touchdowns to 14 interceptions with four fumbles and held an 80.8 passer rating in 14 games played. This saw him break 300 passing yards just once while throwing an interception in all four games that he took the field. It was more of the writing was on the wall for Cutler that his best days are behind him.

The 35-year-old could still latch onto a team as a viable backup quarterback, but he has no interest in taking on that role as he has passed on that all through last offseason after being cut by the Chicago Bears after eight years. He now appears to be set to enter his post-NFL career where it appears he will be more involved in his wife's career and lifestyle. This is also a chance for him to find a new passion that could help him fill the void that no longer is occupied by playing in the NFL.
