The Denver Broncos had quite a scare on Thursday as star tight end Noah Fant had to be stretchered off against the New York Jets. An update has been provided on Fant's status, and it appears that the Broncos have dodged a bullet here.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Fant's ankle injury seems to be minor:

That's as good an update the Broncos can get in this respect, especially considering how severe the injury seemed at the onset. That was perhaps a bit of an overreaction from the medical staff, or maybe Fant was in some considerable pain at that point in time.

Whatever the case may be, it's great to hear that Noah Fant should be ready to go sooner rather than later. It remains to be seen if Fant will be forced to miss time because of this injury, but we're pretty sure the Broncos will be happy with this update.

Denver emerged victorious on Thursday, as they marked their first win of the season. They downed the Jets, 37-28, with New York now one of the few remaining teams left without a single win to start the season.

The Broncos will be back in action on Sunday night, as they take on the New England Patriots. It is unclear if Fant will be available for that one, but considering how his injury was reported as “minor” then odds are, he should get the start against the Pats.
