Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic seemed unhappy after they gave up Sunday’s game to the visiting Boston Celtics. Jokic and his team allowed the Beantown team, led by All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, to mount an impressive 40-8 run to close the fourth quarter.

The Nuggets were without their closer Jamal Murray, but their loss still didn’t seem to sit well with the MVP candidate. Jokic had another triple double with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds and got contributions from teammates like Michael Porter Jr. (22 points and 11 rebounds), Facundo Campazzo (14 points) and Will Barton (13 points).

During the fourth quarter, Jokic was seen on the bench isolated from teammates who were all in a huddle. What could have caused this? Perhaps allowing the Celtics to go on a scoring run? The referees? Or maybe the fact that the Nuggets snapped their eight-game winning streak? Who knows, but from the looks of it, Joker doesn’t seem pleased

In fairness to the Nuggets, they’ve looked outstanding since they acquired Aaron Gordon in the trade deadline. Gordon has become a role player alongside Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, and he has already developed on-court chemistry with both players. Gordon increases the chance of the Nuggs making a longer playoff push this 2021.

As for Jokic, his MVP campaign continues. He’s clearly one of, if not the frontrunner to secure this year’s prestigious individual award. The big man is averaging 26.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game this season. Jokic’s Nuggets have been red-hot before losing to the Celtics, but they have the chance to bounce back versus the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and Houston Rockets in the next few days.
