Training camp is right around the corner and there are still question marks hovering around the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers is still holding out, but with no recent news, it's slightly tilting towards Rodgers returning for at least one more year. If that's the case, the Packers are a Super Bowl contender, without him, the franchise will get their first glimpse of the future without their star quarterback.

Despite the quarterback drama in Green Bay, the front office could make a move or two before the start of the season. This franchise has gone to the NFC Championship game two years in a row and has suffered the same result. A big trade could be what this team needs to get over the hump and participate in the Super Bowl.

Wide receiver is a need on this roster and is a part of the reason why Rodgers is frustrated with the Packers. Trading for a new pass option could sway Rodgers into returning and playing through the rest of his contract. Another option would be to beef up the inside linebacker position, which could put Green Bay's defense over the top, increasing their chances of making a deep run in the playoffs. With that said, here are three potential trade candidates for the Packers.

N'Keal Harry

N'Keal Harry recently requested a trade and the Packers need a receiver. Fans might not be excited about Harry possibly joining Green Bay, but there is reason to believe he flourishes on a new team. In the two years to start his career, Harry has only managed 45 receptions, 414 yards, and four touchdowns. His career catch percentage is a measly 55.6%, making him an unreliable target in New England.

Sometimes a change of scenery rejuvenates someone's career. We've seen that multiple times in many different sports, with Ryan Tannehill being just one example. The Patriots passing game hasn't been elite for the last couple of years now, which may have negatively affected Harry's development. N'Keal Harry might be a great trade option for the Packers, as he's a former first-round pick, a big-bodied red-zone threat, and could prove his worth in a new offensive scheme.

Michael Gallup

The third pass option for the Dallas Cowboys might not be on the trade block, but the Cowboys could receive at least a second-round draft pick for him. Gallup is talented enough to be a high-end second option for almost any team in the league. He's also in the final year of his contract and it's hard to believe he re-signs with the Cowboys next offseason.

Now is the perfect time to make a move for Gallup. The Packers can easily afford to lose a second-round pick, as their roster is stacked. Gallup would also give Green Bay a viable second-option behind Davante Adams. The Packers would receive a deep threat receiver that could open up the passing game, giving Rodgers a plethora of options downfield.

Jaylon Smith

Another Dallas Cowboy the Packers could target is Jaylon Smith. He's entering the fifth year of his career and has been a tackle machine since entering the NFL. The Cowboys recently drafted two young studs at the linebacker position and could be shopping Smith to improve their roster in weaker areas. Throughout Smith's four years, he's racked up 498 total tackles, nine sacks, six forced fumbles, and two interceptions.

The Packers' defense is already good, but bringing in a linebacker like Jaylon Smith could put this defense over the top. Green Bay's inside linebacker situation hasn't been the best since they let Blake Martinez walk in free agency. Acquiring Smith gives the Packers a consistent tackler to help in the run game, allowing their elite pass rush and secondary to thrive.
