Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is one of the best passers this game has ever seen, and San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is well aware of his greatness.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday ahead of the 49ers' NFC Championship Game matchup with the Packers this weekend, Shanahan paid a major compliment to Rodgers:

“There's probably not anybody on the planet who throws better than him,” said Shanahan, according to Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News.

Some would probably name Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahome as the top passer on earth right now, but Rodgers is certainly up there.

While Rodgers may no longer be the dominant force he was several years ago, he remains one of the game's most prudent signal-callers, as he threw for 4,002 yards, 26 touchdowns and just four interceptions while completing 62 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 95.4 during the regular season, earning his eighth Pro Bowl selection in the process.

Rodgers also led the Packers to a 28-23 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the Divisional Round of the playoffs last weekend, completing 16 of his 27 throws for 243 yards and a couple of touchdowns.

Ironically enough, Rodgers' worst outing of the year came against the 49ers back in Week 12, when he went 20-for-33 with a meager 104 yards and a touchdown in what ended up being a 37-8 defeat at Levi's Stadium.

Rodgers will get his chance at redemption on Sunday, and Shanahan and Co. will certainly be prepared for the future Hall-of-Famer.
