Aaron Jones and the Green Bay Packers are fresh off of an embarrassing blowout loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football last week. When everything was said and done, the Packers dropped the game by a final score of 37-8. It was a game that the team wants to forget and bounce back from this week against the New York Giants.

Following the loss and ahead of their next game, Jones made it clear that Green Bay cannot afford to lose twice in a row. He also made a strong statement about what kind of team the Packers need to be, according to a quote shared by PackersNews.com.

“We just keep with the mindset good teams don't lose two in a row. We haven't done that all year, so we're going to keep that mindset. We feel like we're a pretty good team. Just go back to work.”

Jones isn't wrong and the Packers have to make a statement this week. The Giants are a bad football team and the Packers need to make it clear that they won't have trouble with the bad teams. A blowout win would be a big step in the right direction after the loss to San Francisco.

Green Bay is still 8-3 through the first 12 weeks of the season. They are still one of the top teams in the NFL and are still being viewed as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Thankfully, the Packers have the Giants this week and a very poor Washington Redskins team next week. This two-game stretch could see Green Bay end up with a 10-3 record.

Expect to see Green Bay come out looking to prove a point this week against the Giants. They are a good football team and it's time to show it and take care of business.
