The league has had to take unprecedented action in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic leading up to the 2020 NFL season. It appears the restrictions have started to take its toll on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

According to TMZ Sports, Rodgers likened the household quarantine to being on house arrest.

“I think we all were buying into the idea of quarantine to flatten the curve,” Rodgers said on Friday. “And, I think there are a lot of questions now that it’s more of a house arrest to find a cure with people wondering exactly what that means as far as the future of the country and the freedoms we’re allowed to have at this point.”

The restrictions have been a difficult adjustment for many and Rodgers' comments indicate that he is among those whose patience is wearing thin. It is safe to say that the feeling of angst is not going to subside with the team beginning its preparations for offseason workouts.

After all, it has been quite an eventful offseason for Green Bay. Although they came up one game short of a Super Bowl, the front office decided to prepare for the future by bringing in Rodgers' potential successor after trading up to take quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Rodgers is now likely looking forward to getting back to work in order to show the Packers that he still has plenty left in the tank. Of course, it remains to be seen whether or not the league will be able to maintain the current timeline of the 2020 campaign.
