Much has been said about Aaron Rodgers' supposed “discomfort” in Matt LaFleur's Green Bay Packers offense. But, if the starter weren't going to play until Week 1, he thinks the team would be just fine.

“If we didn’t play [the next two weeks], I feel great going into Week 1,” Rodgers said per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

There have been reports that Rodgers isn't pleased with LaFleur's offense, but almost everything he's said as of late indicates the opposite. Though he may have been once frustrated with former head coach Mike McCarthy, he calls news of the same with LaFleur fake.

“We [Rodgers and LaFleur] have a great line of communication. I'm not sitting up here, wishing people, ‘I wish you just knew this.' I don't care. Look, I don't need to go out and prove to anybody how great Matt and I are getting along. Or him stand up there and say how great it's been. Look, we're having a great time. We're communicating. The conjecture is for clickbait news stories you guys can put on your websites. Not you guys [reporters], I mean like most of you people in here,” Rodgers said last week, via Cheesehead TV's Aaron Nagler.

Rodgers, at this point, likely wants to forget about perceived drama with the Packers and get on with the 2019 NFL season. The quarterback is looking to bounce back from two-straight seasons ending without a postseason berth. However, if he feels great in his new offense and is ready to go, that streak may not hit a third season.
