Aaron Rodgers is prepared to run it back with the Green Bay Packers this season. But the Packers lost a key piece over the offseason in wide receiver Davante Adams. Many people around the league expect Green Bay to replace Adams this offseason. However, that might not be necessary.

Packers digital reporter Wes Hodkiewicz explained why the Packers could be content with their current offense.

It's not a crazy thought, especially with the refined pass-catching ability of both AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones. And whatever the outside sentiment is about the Packers' receiving crops, I promise you Aaron Rodgers, Matt LaFleur and the rest of this organization like the cards they're holding. Green Bay Packers don't need another receiver for this offense to be ready for Week 1.

The team's current wide receiver options include players such as Sammy Watkins and Allen Lazard. Green Bay's receiving core isn't elite but it's also not bad. And having a guy like Aaron Rodgers at quarterback automatically enhances receivers. So the Packers may opt for upgrades at other positions instead of receiver.

The pass-catching abilities of AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones is interesting as well. The running back duo already helps balance out the offense. However, Green Bay's offensive attack could be lethal if Jones and Dillon emerge as reliable receiving options in the backfield.

Their pass-catching prowess would allow Aaron Rodgers to look down field on a more consistent basis. If nothing is open, he can simply flip the ball to either Jones or Dillon and garner a positive gain.
