Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams believes he's the best wide receiver in the NFL, and with good reason.

Adams dazzled on Thursday night, catching 10 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay's 34-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers, including a remarkable 36-yard touchdown in the first quarter, his league-leading eighth TD reception in 2020.

Afterwards, Adams was asked whether he believes he considers himself the best wideout in football.

ā€œI think thatā€™s fair to say,ā€ Adams said, via Packers.com. ā€œI think thatā€™s not being conceited; thatā€™s just being confident. I think obviously what Iā€™ve done and what Iā€™m going to continue to do is going to prove that, to anybody who isnā€™t on board with that. At the end of the day, Iā€™ll tell you yes, absolutely, I think Iā€™m the best wide receiver in the game, but thereā€™s a lot of things that go into me being able to make that statement.ā€

The three-time Pro Bowler is leading the NFL with 112.5 receiving yards per game in 2020.

Thursday marked the third game this season in which Adams has recorded double-digit receptions and 150+ yards ā€” making him the first player in the Packers long history to accomplish that feat. More impressively, he's only played six games.

According to the NFL media department (per Packers.com), Adams is the first player in the Super Bowl era with 50 or more catches, 600+ receiving yards, and eight TDs through his first six games of the season.

ā€œHe's such a great player,ā€ said his quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. ā€œWe hit him with a lot of different things tonight. Hit him on the first possession with a go ball that he made a nice adjustment on. On the last possession we were in on an inside go route. He's so talented, he can do it all, handles himself the right way. Just a joy to play with. A special guy.ā€

The Packers moved to 6-2 after the win over the Niners.
