Green Bay Packers tackle David Bakhtiari called out rookie cornerback Lonnie Johnson of the Houston Texans on Friday.

While the teams held joint practices recently, on Thursday came their first preseason game, which ended in a narrow, 28-26 win for the Packers. The game saw the braggadocious Johnson get beat by tight end Jace Sternberger for a 27-year reception, revenge of sorts for the Packers' rookie after Johnson levied a hard hit on him during non-contact drills last weekend.

Bakhtiari added insult to injury Friday afternoon, mentioning the 22-year-old Johnson, who was selected in the second round by Houston, on Twitter and telling him “#itsfootball” – the same hashtag Johnson used after his hit on Sternberger.

Bakhtiari, 27, is entering his seventh season in the NFL—all with the Packers—and decided to rub salt into the wound of Johnson, returning the practice hit on his teammate as trash talk.

Appearing in every game for the Packers last season, Bakhtiari is a one-time Pro-Bowl offensive lineman and apparent jokester on social media, too. He made his first, and only, first-team All-Pro selection in 2018 as well. Green Bay selected Bakhtiari in the fourth round of the 2013 draft.

Johnson, the 6-foot-2 defensive back, entered the draft after two seasons at the University of Kentucky. Trying to get ahead of criticism for his physicality in the joint training camp between the Texans and Packers, the former Wildcat wanted to impress his teammates and coaching staff on Thursday, but now he's on the losing side of a busted coverage and Twitter shots fired from Sternberger and Bakhtiari, respectively.
