The Green Bay Packers are 3-0 after their first three games and the defense has been the driving force behind all of those wins. Jaire Alexander is in his second NFL season and has been viewed as one of the top up-and-coming defensive stars in the league.

Pro Football Focus has taken notice of the performances that Alexander has put together. They also have him as their highest-rated cornerback in the league.

Alexander has been very vocal about his thoughts on Green Bay's defense. He has boldly stated that the Packers have the NFL's best defense. From looking at the numbers and performances, he certainly has an argument that can support that.

Through the first three games of the season, Alexander has racked up 15 total tackles to go along with a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and six defended passes. Those numbers show why he sits atop the rankings from Pro Football Focus. He also has had multiple opportunities to record interceptions.

Green Bay will now face off against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football. Alexander will need to come through with another big game to slow down Carson Wentz and the weapons he has. It won't be an easy matchup for the Packers.

Pettine has utilized Alexander perfectly so far this season. He also has an excellent partner across the field from him in Kevin King. For the first time in a long time, the secondary is a strength for the Packers.

Alexander is just getting started and has a lot more potential to reach for, which should be a scary thought for opposing offenses moving forward this season.
