The Green Bay Packers are not expected to bring back tight end Jimmy Graham for next season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

This news hardly comes as a surprise.

The Packers signed Graham to a three-year deal back in March 2018 with the hope that he would provide Aaron Rodgers with another reliable target, but things have not exactly worked out.

Graham's first season in Green Bay was decent, as he played in every game and caught 55 passes for 636 yards and a couple of touchdowns, but this past year, Graham's production fell off a cliff, with the veteran logging just 38 grabs for 447 yards and three scores, his worst overall output since his rookie campaign back in 2010.

The 33-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, was originally selected by the New Orleans Saints in the third round (95th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

It didn't take long for Graham to develop into one of the league's best tight ends, as he made the Pro Bowl as soon as his second season after hauling in 99 receptions for 1,310 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He spent the first five seasons of his career with the Saints, making three Pro Bowls and earning a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Then, in March 2015, New Orleans traded Graham to the Seattle Seahawks, which was when things took a turn for the worse for the Goldsboro, N.C. native.

Graham made a couple of Pro Bowls with the Seahawks, but he never came close to replicating the type of production he posted with the Saints.
