Green Bay Packers incoming rookie quarterback Jordan Love has one of the best possible mentors at the position in veteran superstar Aaron Rodgers.

So what is it like working with a future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest to ever play the position?

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Love opens up about just that.

Jordan Love on Aaron Rodgers and Tim Boyle: “I've got two dudes that I can learn from (and) I've learned a lot from them so far. They've been a great help for me.” He added that Rodgers is a “great person” and he's trying to “learn by the watching him.”

The Packers shocked a lot of people when they moved up in the 2020 NFL Draft to select Love with the 26th overall pick. Getting a franchise quarterback is never a bad idea, but when you already have one of the greatest ever, it seems a little odd.

While Rodgers is “aging,” he is still just 36. There could easily be another five-plus years in him. And 2019 was another strong year for Rodgers (4,002 yards and 26 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions). All of which makes the Love pick even more odd.

Many believe that this is going to be a tough situation for Love. He is now in the same quarterback room as a legend. Not just a legend, but a legend that might feel hurt and betrayed by his team.

Could this have negative affects on Love's development? Well according to the Packers rookie, that's not going to happen.

Love praised both Rodgers and fellow quarterback Tim Boyle. He made a point to say how much he's learned and how they have helped him so far. Meanwhile, he shared his thoughts that Rodgers is a “great person.”

Love is going to get a lot of wisdom and advice from Rodgers. It appears anyone that thought the veteran might give the rookie a cold shoulder has already been proven wrong.

At the time, this might have seemed like a terrible decision by the Packers. But if they can find a way to seamlessly transition from Rodgers to Love in a few years like the veteran did with Brett Favre a long time ago—they might be setting themselves up perfectly for the future.
