Perhaps the biggest surprise of the 2020 NFL Draft's first round was the Green Bay Packers trading up to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love, possibly as the future successor to Aaron Rodgers. On Friday, Love discussed his first conversation with Rodgers after becoming a Packer, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Love, a three-star recruit coming out of high school, shined in his sophomore season with the Aggies and was considered to be a possible top-10 pick before the start of the 2019 college football season. His numbers took a dip as a junior, with Love throwing 12 fewer touchdowns and 11 more interceptions while struggling with his accuracy.

However, the Packers are enamored with Love's natural arm talent that he's demonstrated with deep passes on the run with the flick of his wrist. Out of all of the potential destinations for Love, learning underneath Rodgers with a stable franchise like Green Bay is probably the best case scenario for the young signal-caller.
