Former New England Patriots star Randy Moss has never been short on confidence and it showed throughout his career. In 2007 Moss had one of the best seasons ever for a wide receiver. He broke the NFL record catching 23 touchdowns and also had 1,493 receiving yards as the Patriots went a perfect 16-0 in the regular season.

Moss spoke with the media on Monday during a conference call for his Hall of Fame Induction. He was asked about the 2007 season and Moss said that he expected that to happen.

“If you ask Kevin Faulk, I expected to do that,” Moss said via PatriotsWire. “I really did and I’m not just saying that. I put in the work and I remember telling Kevin Faulk that we’re going undefeated, and I’m going to break the record.”

The year before with the Oakland Raiders he had a really down year finishing with only 553 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He got hooked up in 2007 with Bill Belichick and the Patriots and everything changed. His career was revived and he had some of his best seasons.

Even though the Patriots didn't win the Super Bowl in 2007, and Moss didn't ever come away with a Lombardi Trophy that doesn't take away from what he did in his record-breaking season.

Although the record-breaking season was shocking for some, especially after how he performed the previous season, evidently Moss knew it was coming and I guess most should have. He had one of the greatest quarterbacks ever slinging him the ball, and one of the best coaches ever calling the play for the duos.
