Even though Troy Brown is a big fan of Rob Gronkowski, he's urging the New England Patriots great to retire after this year's Super Bowl.

Troy Brown, who is a Patriots legend in his own right, shared his feelings on First Take earlier today.

“This year I saw Rob Gronkowski have a season where he struggled to stay healthy. Back injuries again, knee injuries again. So you're looking at a guy that's had multiple, multiple surgeries on that back even going back into college and now he just can't stay on the field. I look at a player like Rob Gronkowski, and I say to a player like that, ‘Look man, you gotta think about your quality of life after football. You’ve made a ton of money, you’re probably going to make a ton of money after football. Just walk away from the game right now so you can enjoy your money, or somebody else will.'”

Troy Brown went on to say that even though Gronkowski is enjoying his time on the field, it's perfectly okay to “bow out” when your time has come to do so. And, he feels that Gronkowski is in his twilight years, as far as his football career is concerned.

“I know you love the game, but at this point in your career, man, you’ve been a man that’s been beaten up quite a bit and taking a lot of shots. Just walk away from the game now and have your health to look forward to.”

We'll keep you posted on whether “The Gronk” takes Troy Brown seriously.
