Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori are set to meet for a middleweight clash on Saturday in the main event of the UFC Vegas 41 card. It appears as though the Brazilian wants to make some changes ahead of the bout.

Paulo Costa told the media he weighs 211 pounds and will not be able to make the middleweight limit of 185 pounds. He has requested the bout be contested at either 195 or 205 pounds.

The pair did an interview together for ESPN where they agreed to meet at a catchweight of 195. Marvin Vettori made sure to make fun of Paulo Costa for his weight.

“You’re supposed to make weight! Every fighter here is supposed to make weight,” Vettori said. “We have a moment, it’s called weigh-in – maybe you don’t know about it – where you’re supposed to step on the scale and be some kind of weight. We have a weight division we fight in. You act like you don’t know this part.”

“And which weight were you supposed to make on Friday? 185? I don’t care if you weigh 185, 195, 205…your choice,” Paulo Costa replied. “It’s up to you.”

Marvin Vettori was on board to move the fight up in weight but he also reminded Paulo Costa that part of his job is to make weight. He also hinted at taking a part of the Brazilian's purse.

The UFC is working on an agreement between the two fighters in order for the fight to continue. No weight has been specified but it appears the target is 195.
