Is someone chopping up onions in here? Or is it just New Orleans Pelicans superstar power forward Anthony Davis being a hero during the holiday season? When it comes to giving back to his community, Davis definitely passes with flying colors.

In a video posted to the NBA's official Twitter account on Wednesday, Davis generously surprised a family with gifts that were hidden in the back of a car.

That wasn't it, though. For the last gift, Davis handed a small box to the children's mother. When the mother opened it, the reaction she had was absolutely priceless and heartwarming.

This type of kind-heartedness is what we really need to see more of going forward. These stories should really be the ones making more headlines today. Kudos to you, Anthony Davis, for bringing joy to families during the holiday season.

As for the Pelicans' game at Smoothie King Center on Wednesday night against star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, both Davis and star center DeMarcus Cousins came to ball out in front of the home crowd.

In their 115-108 victory, the Pelicans were led by Cousins (26 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists) to go along with another one of Davis' impressive double-double efforts on the night with 25 points, 10 boards, and two assists.
