The New Orleans Pelicans will be without the services of Anthony Davis for Wednesday night's matchup against the Orlando Magic.

According to a report from Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Davis made the trip with his teammates to Orlando. However, he was excused from the team to deal with a family matter:

With Davis ruled out, Jahlil Okafor could be called on to play a starting role. Cheick Diallo will likely see an uptick in his usage rate as well.

Davis logged 21 minutes in Monday night's 129-125 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, notching 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting from the field (1-of-2 from beyond the arc), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal. Julius Randle led the Pelicans with 30 points, nine rebounds and four assists.

In other Pelicans-related injury news, Jrue Holiday remains out indefinitely with an abdominal strain. With just nine games remaining this season, Holiday could be sidelined the rest of the way. Frank Jackson and Kenrich Williams have soaked up a fair amount of minutes in Holiday's absence. Look for that trend to continue.

E'Twaun Moore, who's recovering from a quadriceps injury, has also been ruled out of Wednesday's game:

Wednesday night's Pelicans-Magic game is scheduled to tip inside the Amway Center at 7:00 p.m. ET.
