During a timeout on Thursday, the New Orleans Pelicans' game operations promoted their Feb. 23 matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers with pictures of LeBron James and Anthony Davis on the video board and Pelicans fans booed loudly.

Davis has requested a trade and reportedly prefers to play with LeBron in Los Angeles. The two superstars share the same agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

Since the trade drama began, Anthony Davis has been getting booed at home by the Pelicans fans. That's going to continue for the rest of the season in the games Davis plays in at home.

The boos, though, are going to be louder than usual on that Feb. 23 game when LeBron James comes to town. The fans in New Orleans believe James and Rich Paul are trying to get Davis to the Lakers by all means necessary.

This situation is just ugly. Davis wants out of New Orleans. The Pelicans are going to trade him in the summer, but The Brow is still playing with a franchise he doesn't want to be on. Davis and Rich Paul probably should have requested a trade last summer, but that wouldn't have guaranteed a trade to the Lakers.

That Feb. 23 games is going to be must-see TV.
