Pewdiepie is one of the most popular gamers in the world. His Youtube channel continues to be the most-subscribed channel owned by an individual on the platform. He still plays new games on his channel, live streaming titles that he finds very interesting. He most recently streamed Surgeon Simulator 2 with CinammonToastKen and DanTDM, which is already nearing the 1 million views mark just ten hours after it premiered. But while he's been at the forefront of video gaming throughout his Youtube career, he has never been known to be a MOBA player.

However, it turns out that Pewdiepie used to play MOBA games. Back when Defense of the Ancients was the hot title in the early 2000s, Pewdiepie shared in a video that he would go to computer cafes to play the Warcraft III mod with his friends. He admits that those days were some of his most memorable, even citing Dota as one of the games that defined him growing up.

“Me and my friends in Sweden, we used to go to net cafes… We would play this all together like a party of four or five,” remembers Pewdiepie. “Just yelling at each other all in the same room playing games together on a computer, that won't be possible without net cafes… I just remember that to be so much fun. On like, a Saturday, we'd call up our friends and we would all go out to town to a net cafe to play Dota together. Just amazing memories.”

However, no matter how much he enjoyed his time playing Dota when he was younger, Pewdiepie says he no longer finds any reason to play it today.

“I never played much MOBA after that… I think I've had my fun with it. Like I don't really see a reason to jump into it. MOBA will never be as fun as when we played it all together in net cafes in Sweden. That was so much f*cking fun.”

So, there you have it. Pewdiepie was playing MOBAs way before he started streaming, and he enjoyed his time with them. But it doesn't look like he'll be coming back to play MOBAs on his channel anytime soon.
