The Philadelphia Eagles are flying high following their Week 15 win against the Washington Football Team. Now, they look ahead to another must-win NFC East matchup. The Birds are set to take on the New York Giants in Week 16 Sunday afternoon. For this Eagles-Giants matchup, let's take a look at my top four boldest Eagles Week 16 predictions.

Eagles Week 16 Predictions

4. Miles Sanders touchdown

This one sounds easier than it actually is. Of course, everyone who follows the Eagles knows that Sanders has been absolutely crushing defenses in the run game since returning from injury. However, he has yet to score a touchdown this season.

In Week 15, Sanders ran for 131 yards, crushing his record of 120 yards set the week before. Despite his success in the Eagles' ground game, the running back has yet to find the end zone. In the Tuesday matchup against Washington, Sanders came close to six points multiple times, coming short by a few yards each time.

The third year running back shows no signs of slowing down, so it's only a matter of time before he finds himself in the end zone. Expect his first touchdown of the season on Sunday.

3. Another successful ground game

It's no secret that the Eagles have one of the most dominant run games in the entire NFL. Remember Week 11, when they (quite literally) walked all over the New Orleans Saints, AKA the (at the time) top rush defense in the league?

Since Nick Sirianni has come into his own as a first year head coach in the league, he is utilizing the strengths of his players more. Hurts and his offense are often more successful in their run game than they are with their passing game.

Expect this trend to continue, not only because of the speed of the offense, but because of the dedication of the offensive line. Did you see Jason Kelce's insane, stride for stride run with Sanders in Week 15? If you didn't, you can go ahead and thank me later.

2. At least one Hurts rushing touchdown

The way I see things, the depleted Washington Football Team that the Eagles faced in Week 15 is very similar to the Giants team they are up against on Sunday. Both have a few standout guys still on the active roster, but also have a lot of guys out for different health reasons (their quarterbacks, for example).

On Tuesday, Hurts led his team to the NFC East win with two rushing touchdowns of his own. That was his fourth game this season with at least two rushing touchdowns. Considering the similarities of Washington and New York, expect Hurts to have at least two rushing touchdowns on Sunday.

1 . Solid passing, Eagles rematch win

Okay, enough about the Eagles' run game. What about Hurts' passing? Well, expect that to continue to improve on Sunday. Following Hurts' fumble on Tuesday, Sirianni got on him. According to both of the first year leaders, there was a lot of tough love in Sirianni's message to Hurts — and it worked. The young quarterback responded to the tough coaching, and had a stellar passing performance for the rest of the game. Expect Hurts to continue excelling and pushing to exceed Sirianni's expectations for him.

Also expect an Eagles win on Sunday. The Eagles have a lot to prove in the divisional rematch against New York, and all signs point to the Birds getting the job done. Finally, my boldest prediction yet: Eagles win 31-17.
