Detroit Pistons big man Andre Drummond is questionable against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday due to a left wrist sprain.

Drummond joins a long list of injured Pistons players. Rookie Sekou Doumbouya is probable while several others — including star forward Blake Griffin — remain out.

Drummond, who leads the league in rebounding with 15.6 per game, has been the subject of trade rumors as of late. Teams, especially those contending for the title, believe that Drummond is the missing piece to the puzzle.

Other rebuilding teams have vested interest as well. They firmly believe that Drummond could be that one piece to turn their franchise around.

Pistons head coach Dwane Casey is well-aware of the rumors. Though he doesn't necessarily believe them, he nonetheless claims that the rumors are the result of Drummond's stellar play as of late. Simply put, teams are interested in the 26-year-old big man because he has been very productive.

“Most of the players in this league understand there's always going to be rumors; if you're about anything, you're always gonna have interest. If you're not producing … nobody's gonna be calling,” per Rod Beard of The Detroit News.

The Pistons currently sport a 17-31 record for 10th in the East. This is not what they hoped for, especially after qualifying for the 2019 postseason for just the second time in 10 years. Many believe that it was the start of a winning era under Casey.

Nonetheless, the series of injuries prevented the Pistons from mirroring or even improving on their success last season. Hopefully, Andre Drummond's injury isn't that serious as the team needs him for that one final push.
