Detroit Pistons All-Star Blake Griffin admitted that he failed to recruit any NBA players this season on ‘Pardon My Take'.

Griffin went into details about his failure to get Jeff Green to come to Detroit:

“I did a few calls, a few texts, a few reach-outs. I think I was 0-3 this year,” Griffin told Barstool Sports. In one case, said Griffin, he reached out to a player, only to learn almost immediately thereafter that the player decided to sign somewhere else.”I was like, alright, well, that was bad timing. I texted him and literally, like, 30 minutes later, it was like, Jeff Green has signed with the Utah Jazz.”

Although Griffin couldn't personally recruit anybody, the Pistons did make some important new additions in the offseason.

The team signed Tony Snell, a veteran forward who will likely start next to Griffin next season.

Derrick Rose signed to Detroit on a two-year deal, providing valuable back up minutes to Reggie Jackson.  Journeyman Markieff Morris was also added to shore up the bench.

Overall, the Pistons have assembled a decent team even with Griffin's recruitment failure. Although they likely won't be contenders next year, it will be interesting to see if they can sneak into the playoff picture as they did last year.

Maybe this year they will have a better showing than last years sweep.
