Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin didn't have any conclusive answer when asked regarding his future plans in free agency next year. Though Griffin has been admittedly happy of playing in Motor City since he first came in 2017, his impending decision whether or not to opt-out of his contract after the season remains up in the air today.

“It’s not a decision that I have to make in the immediate future,” Griffin said via The New York Times. “And I know, I’m sorry, I’m just kind of running around that question, but it’s just true. Things can change.”

The 31-year-old veteran already snagged some of the league's most prestigious awards but he still hasn't come close to winning a championship just yet.

Already playing in his 12th campaign as a pro, Blake Griffin shared that winning remains to be the main goal of his career.

“The individual awards and these things are fine, and I’m appreciative of them, but I just want to win,” Griffin said. “Not making it to a conference final, yeah, it does gnaw at me. Not to the point where I’m losing sleep over it. But that’s the main goal — I want to win.”

Blake Griffin had multiple opportunities to advance to his first conference final back with the Los Angeles Clippers. Together with Chris Paul, the team consistently made the playoffs but always fell short of getting past the conference semi-finals which transpired back in 2012, 2014, and 2015.

In his fourth season with the Pistons, Griffin is averaging 16.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists for the team which currently holds a 1-4 record. The former Oklahoma standout knows in himself that staying with the Pistons won't help him reach his goal, more so of winning a championship in the near future.

However, he still wants to see how things will pan out this year before deciding on his next move heading to his free agency in the upcoming offseason.
