The Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons are no longer talking an Andre Drummond trade with the February trade deadline coming up.

The Hawks never offered the Pistons a first-round pick for Drummond since they can sign the All-Star big man in free agency next summer once Drummond declines his 2020-21 player option.

While other teams around the league may have interest in acquiring Drummond, one former NBA exec says the Pistons center “has a lot of bad habits he needs to unlearn,” per Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report:

“Andre Drummond has a lot of bad habits he needs to unlearn,” said the second former executive, citing a lack of postseason experience. “The Clippers would have to be really confident he's the right fit, because they're going to need to pay him more than Harrell in July.”

In 40 games this season for the Pistons, Drummond is averaging 17.3 points, 15.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He’s shooting 53.1 percent from the field and 60.3 percent from the free-throw line. He has 34 double-doubles.

Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams is still on the Hawks’ radar and talks could potentially pick up steam as the NBA’s February 6 trade deadline approaches, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports. In 38 games this season for the Thunder, Adams is averaging 11.8 points and 10.0 rebounds. He’s shooting 61.7 percent from the field and 57.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Drummond is expected to decline his player option for next season and enter free agency. We'll see if he's still on the Pistons after the February trade deadline passes.
