Josh Jackson of the Detroit Pistons woke up on the wrong side of the bed on Monday, as he was out to get some smoke against Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers. The two were caught in a few altercations in the fourth quarter, which eventually caused the young forward to be tossed from the game.

Before eventually being asked to leave the court, Jackson had some sweet words for Simmons. You don't have to be a lip reader to understand what the Pistons swingman was chirping (via NBA Central):

That testy exchange between Jackson and Simmons was actually the result of a previous altercation between the two. Around 30 seconds prior, Jackson and Simmons got tangled up in a dead ball situation which resulted in Sixers reserve Mike Scott jumping in. Scott, looking casual and all in street clothes, approached the Pistons youngster to seemingly stand up for Simmons and got a little too close for comfort.

Both Scott and Jackson got T'd up.

On the next possession, Josh Jackson inadvertently hit Ben Simmons in the face as he was dribbling out to transition, which was eventually upgraded to a flagrant foul and had Jackson hitting the showers early. In all fairness, the foul did seem a bit light for a flagrant, but who knows what Jackson would've done if he stayed in the game. Of course, the 23-year-old didn't want to leave the floor for the Pistons without saying his proper goodbyes to Simmons.

The Pistons did end up with the 119-104 win over the Sixers, with Jackson tallying 12 points, seven rebounds, one steal and two blocks in 21 minutes. Simmons, for his part, finished the game with just 11 points and four rebounds.
