Detroit Pistons rookie Saddiq Bey set the all-time rookie record for games with five or more 3-pointers made, breaking the record previously held by Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Bey now has 10 games with at least five or more triples in his rookie year—a remarkable achievement for someone playing in his first year. In comparison, Steph and Allen Iverson held the record in the past with nine games.

When you catch the greatest shooter of all time in any list, then you’re doing something right. Saddiq Bey has become one of the most outstanding rookies this season. Aside from being a good fantasy pick-up, Bey is also averaging 11.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He has also played huge minutes in the Pistons' rotation and had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists in Saturday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets.

The Pistons are dead last in the Eastern Conference standings this season. This could be because they’re tanking and building around their young players like Bey, Jerami Grant, Josh Jackson and Killian Hayes. With this young talent, there’s huge potential for Detroit to build a good team down the road.

It’s going to be interesting to see what kind of player Bey grows into. He can already shoot threes, be a rebounding machine and a scoring threat inside the paint. Moreover, Bey has emerged as one of the best shooters in the league as well. His 148 total 3-pointers lead all rookies this season, and he ranks 25th in 3-points in the NBA. The 19th overall pick has had an impactful rookie season and potentially a bright future ahead.
