Former NBA guard and current New York Knicks analyst Wally Szczerbiak thinks Detroit Pistons All-Star Andre Drummond is playing like the best center in the NBA.

Against the Knicks on Wednesday, Drummond put up 27 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists. The Pistons easily defeated the Knicks, winning by a final score of 112-102 to improve to 4-5 on the season.

Drummond entered Wednesday averaging 21.3 points, 19.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while shooting 56.0 percent from the field. Detroit All-Star power forward Blake Griffin hasn't played this season and guards Derrick Rose and Reggie Jackson are currently out with injuries.

As a result, Drummond has been the main option on offense for the Pistons and he's been flourishing.

Once Detroit gets Griffin and Rose back, they will have a nice Big 3 which should help the Pistons secure a playoff spot again in the Eastern Conference.

Drummond will make $27.1 million this season and has a player option worth $28.8 million for the 2020-21 campaign. All signs point toward Drummond entering free agency since he can make more money on the open market, but that doesn’t mean the big man is looking to leave the Pistons.

After all, Detroit can offer Drummond the most money and a fifth year on his deal in free agency next summer.
