Oakland Raiders tight end Darren Waller can certainly be categorized as the real deal, especially after just recently inking a multi-year contract to remain with the AFC West franchise for years to come. However, it appears as though Waller isn't the only current Raiders player to fall under such a category as rookie running back Josh Jacobs impressed once again on Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers.

Even despite a loss to the surging Packers, the Raiders were at least able to come away with a few positives as a result of the respective performances of Waller and Jacobs.

“That dude is incredible,” Waller said of his teammate after the team's latest loss, via Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. “With his energy out there, the way he’s running the ball, it’s like, OK, I’ve got to match that…I’m trying to make plays with him…let him be featured because that dude is the real deal.”

Waller, a former member of the Baltimore Ravens, has a well-documented history of substance abuse, an issue that briefly cost him his shot at playing at the NFL level. Now completely sober and several years removed from his forgettable stint with the Ravens, Waller has already earned himself a new deal with the Raiders, who obviously appreciate his work ethic both on and off the field.

On the other hand, the Raiders notably selected the aforementioned Jacobs in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Alabama while the rookie rusher became one of three first-round picks for Oakland this past spring.
