The Oakland Raiders underwent a massive overhaul this offseason, and part of that overhaul included reconstructing the receiving corps.

The Raiders not only signed former Los Angeles Chargers wideout Tyrell Williams and drafted Clemson's Hunter Renfrow, but they also traded for Antonio Brown in one of the biggest splashes of the offseason.

Oakland quarterback Derek Carr is thrilled to be working with this new group of receivers, and on Tuesday, he bragged about how hard they work.

“A lot of new faces, right? It’s crazy what 12 months does,” said Carr, according to Michael Gehlken of The Las Vegas Review-Journal. “A whole new group. … But one thing I see about this group is they work crazy hard. … It’s nice to see how hard they want to work and how great they want to be.”

Perhaps this new set of wideouts will allow Carr to have a better season in 2019, as well.

Carr is coming off a rather rough 2018 campaign in which he threw for 4,049 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions while completing 68.9 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 93.9. Not exactly bad numbers, but also not the same kinds of stats Carr put up during his MVP-caliber season back in 2016, either.

As for the Raiders themselves, the team has been a disaster over the last couple of seasons following making the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 campaign in 2016, going just 6-10 in 2018 and totaling four wins this past year.

However, with all of their offseason additions, the Raiders look much improved heading into 2019.
