Free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown has not been shy about teasing a potential return to the Las Vegas Raiders. However, it appears there is not much mutual interest in getting a new deal done.

Brown had spent last offseason with the Raiders until his tumultuous tenure came to an end before the start of the 2019 NFL season. Mayock quickly shut down the notion of giving him a second chance, via Levi Damien of the Raiders Wire:

“Antonio Brown, I have very little comment about,” Mayock said. “I think he had his time with the Raiders and I think his time there is up.”

Mayock's comments hardly come as any surprise considering what had transpired between the two last year. He and Brown reportedly had a number of disagreements that even culminated with a verbal altercation before they ultimately decided to part ways.

The Raiders thought they had made a splash and filled a much-needed void after acquiring Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a third and fifth-round pick. Unfortunately, the plan never came to fruition after a bizarre series of events brought a surplus of unwanted attention. To make matters worse, the seven-time Pro Bowler's antics off the field have seemingly sealed his fate.

Although Mayock may no longer be looking at Brown as an option, this still leaves the question of how the Raiders will go about filling their void in the receiving corps.

It is no secret this offense is in need of some more firepower and Mayock will need to address it this offseason if he hopes to move on from any Brown speculation.
