It has been a whirlwind last few days for veteran wide receiver Ryan Grant that saw his four-year, $29 million deal to join the Baltimore Ravens become voided after a failed physical. It has put him back on the free agent market as one of the more intriguing options at his position.

There has been some immediate interest in him around the league to acquire his services. According to Ian Rapoport of The NFL Network, the Oakland Raiders have jumped into the mix setting up a visit with the 27-year-old.

In his first four seasons in the league all spent with the Washington Redskins, Grant hasn't missed a single game totaling 84 catches for 985 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The bulk of that production came in the 2017 campaign in his best campaign where he had career highs with 45 catches on 65 targets for 573 receiving yards and four touchdowns while making seven starts.

Grant could step into a promising opportunity with the Raiders in a prominent role in their passing game behind Amari Cooper and offseason addition Jordy Nelson. Oakland will likely be hoping Grant might be a potential upgrade at the third receiver role after failing to get consistent production there last season.

The increased interest could also be due to the team deciding to move wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson to the New England Patriots while exchanging a sixth-round pick for a fifth-round selection on Sunday afternoon.

However, there are still questions concerning his health surrounding his ankle that caused reason for the Redskins to step away from his contract due to medical reasons. If he can prove that there are no potential long-term issues, Oakland could look to quickly work out a deal to add another formidable option to his passing game. Things could certainly quick pick up on this front in the coming days.
