Los Angeles Rams cornerback Aqib Talib is no stranger to playing on teams with Wade Phillips as the defensive coordinator. In fact, Phillips helped lead the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl victory only a handful of years ago over the Carolina Panthers. Phillips had the privilege of having an elite defense with the Broncos back in 2016 that indefinitely lead them to be victorious Super Bowl. Talib was one of the leaders of the “No Fly Zone” and overall the defense was amongst the best in the league that season.

According to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN, Talib praised Phillips and spoke extremely high of him ahead of their Super Bowl matchup with the New England Patriots.

“We have a Hall of Fame D coordinator. He put together a great game plan, and for the most part we did a good job executing.”

Talib recognizes how great the Rams defense is this season just like he used to often vocalize back when he was with the Broncos. The Rams went after every defensive asset they felt necessary to make a Super Bowl run this season as they added Talib, Marcus Peters, Dante Fowler, and Ndamukong Suh. The Rams have had some fantastic talent emerge this season as well this season with linebackers Corey Littleton and Samson Ebukam.

The Rams defense will need to play the highest level possible on Feb. 3 considering Tom Brady and the Patriots' high-powered offense do not let up at any point in any game. The Rams have a lot of fantastic talent on their side and they have a great chance of taking it all this season.
