The Los Angeles Rams have experienced some turnover on their offensive line this offseason. Fortunately, guard Austin Blythe is confident that offensive line coach will get the new faces up to speed.

Blythe was struggling to find his footing in the NFL before emerging as a bonafide starter for the Rams last season. According to Vincent Bonsignore of The Athletic, he feels Kromer will be able to do the same for the rest of the group:

“Everybody here on this field is a professional,” Blythe said. “Everybody here is a very good football player. And we’ve got great coaches coaching the guys who are stepping up. Take me for example, I was cut, I came here and progressed through the course of the year and I ended up starting. And I think that’s a testament to coach Kromer and also the guys we have here. Brian and Joe are cut from the same cloth. I think we’ll be just fine.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Blythe's comments. Much of the Rams' resurgence on offense has been credited to head coach Sean McVay and quarterback Jared Goff. Meanwhile, Kromer has managed to develop one of the most reliable units in the league since his arrival. The fact that they have managed to remain such a steady group amidst all the changes is a testament to his prowess.

Kromer will face perhaps his biggest challenge yet following the departure of guard Rodger Saffold and center John Sullivan. Second-year linemen Joseph Noteboom and Brian Allen have already been pegged as their replacements in the 2019 NFL season despite their lack of experience. Blythe knows full well that if there is any coach capable of getting them up to the Rams' high standards, it is Kromer.
