Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers miraculously returned from his Achilles injury in time for his team's playoff game, which they won over the Arizona Cardinals for the right to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional round. Akers' return from injury is not something anyone expected to happen this year, given the typical recovery time associated with Achilles injuries. Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians. who is dealing with an Achilles injury of his own, praised Akers for his quick return while trolling himself in the process, via PewterReport.

Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians joked that Rams running back Cam Akers, undoubtedly a tremendous athlete, can rehab a lot faster than he can. Who here is picturing Arians doing Achilles rehab side-by-side with Akers? That would be quite a sight.
In all seriousness, Arians knows the severity of an Achilles injury, which probably should have kept the Rams star running back sidelined for longer than it did. But, as the Buccaneers' Super Bowl-winning head coach noted, Akers was able to return from the injury rather quickly, thanks to the doctors and sports science.
Now, Cam Akers and the Rams will try to find running room against Bruce Arians' top Buccaneers' run defense this Sunday.
