Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams are happy that they have agreed to terms to tie the franchise QB to the team. Goff is definitely relieved to have the contract talks out of the way and make another run for the Super Bowl.

However, he did admit that Carson Wentz had a lot of leverage on him getting his big payday with his team. He brushed on a Rams press release how the Philadelphia Eagles' deal with their star quarterback affected his own.

“I’m very happy we got it done. I think that’s the best way to put it. I think Carson (Wentz) getting his done did accelerate the process a bit, but I am very happy that we are done and I can now go out there and just play football and not worry about it.”

Both star QBs entered the league in 2016 and shared the same agents. The fact that they completed the deals before talks over the new CBA was underway is a major victory for both Goff, Wentz, and their agents. The two can now focus on playing football without ever worrying about how their finances are going to look for the next couple of years.

The big payday they got from their teams were well-deserved, however. Goff averaged of 12.4 yards per completion in his three years as a Ram. His QB rating is also at an incredible 94.7 for his 9,581 passing yards.

Wentz also has an impressive career as the California native. He has more than 10,000 passing yards in only three years of professional football. He has a 4.8% touchdown rate and a 63.7% completion rate. While he was injured in Super Bowl LII, he did play great to put the team in a spot to even contend for the title.

Rams and Eagles fans can expect more quality plays from these two as they have now settled their contracts.
