The Los Angeles Rams made some serious power moves this offseason. Needless to say, quarterback Jared Goff has quickly taken notice of one addition in particular.

Los Angeles followed up their stellar 2017 campaign by bringing in a bevy of star players on both sides of the ball. Not surprisingly, Goff is most excited about the arrival of wide receiver Brandin Cooks, according to ESPN's Sam Alipour:

“We had a good year, but it's just the beginning. We've got a good core group of guys, and the additions we made this offseason have helped a lot. Personally, having Brandin [Cooks] around has been incredible — great player, person and teammate, works as hard as anybody and really sets the bar in that receiver room. He, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are absolute dogs — no other three I'd rather have in the league. And the additions on defense with Marcus [Peters], Aqib [Talib] and Ndamukong [Suh] have been incredible.”

The Rams wasted no time in finding a new No. 1 wideout with the acquisition of Cooks following the departure of wide receiver Sammy Watkins. It has not taken him long to make an impression on his teammates and coaches. Not surprisingly, Los Angeles locked him up for another five years this offseason.

Cook's arrival has given Goff even more firepower to his already-loaded arsenal. Although Watkins may have been the No. 1 wideout on the depth chart last season, receivers Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp were the most productive. That said, there is good reason for Goff to be excited about the trio of wideouts at his disposal.

Of course, there is always room for improvement when there are Super Bowl expectations on the line. Cooks is the only wideout on the team to register a 1,000-yard season, doing so three years in a row now. Woods and Kupp would be wise to take a page out of his book moving forward.
