Los Angeles Rams punter Johnny Hekker had a humorous jab for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson after the perennial Pro Bowler posted a workout video on Twitter on Wednesday.

Wilson has record salaries in terms of annual average value and signing bonuses, and the video showcases his personal football field. But the receiver in the video apparently was not provided with sunglasses.

Hekker was quick to capitalize on the latter part, joking Wilson's wealth has manifested an entire football field, yet could not buy the receiver a hat or glasses.

Of course, Hekker and Wilson are also NFC West divisional foes, making for a fun little discourse as the two prepare for the 2020 season.

Hekker, obviously, does not get paid anything close to Wilson. Still, the argument can be made he is every bit as good at his own position.

The 30-year-old was named First-Team All-Pro four times between 2013 and 2017 and is quickly cementing his place as one of the greatest punters ever.

Hekker averaged 47.4 yards per punt last season, which ranked third in football. He has been in the top seven in that category in each of the last five years.

As good as Hekker has been in his career, however, the Rams would almost certainly like to see less of him this season.

Hekker had a career-low 43 punts in 2018 as the Rams' high-powered offense scored at will and stampeded to the Super Bowl. But Hekker averaged over 1.5 more punts per game in 2019 as Los Angeles, and quarterback Jared Goff sputtered.

Plus, having Hekker on the sidelines will give him more time to enhance his comedic repertoire.
