Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has all the faith in the world in wide receiver Josh Reynolds. The team traded veteran pass catcher Brandin Cooks earlier this offseason. With Cooks now officially a member of the Houston Texans, it will be time for Reynolds to step up in his absence with the Rams also employing Cooper Kupp at the wide receiver position.

With Reynolds already proving his worth last season as he periodically replaced Kupp, who has seemingly been unable to avoid the injury bug since making the leap to the NFL a few seasons back, the aforementioned McVay recently made a telling statement about the up-and-coming wide out.

“In a lot of ways, it’s a big vote of confidence to what we feel like Josh is capable of, of continuing to ascend to,” McVay said on a Tuesday conference call, via USA TODAY Sports. “He’s stepped in and been a starter and he’s got the ability to play really our X or Z, he can play in the slot. I think, really, we just feel like he’s a capable starting receiver if you’re getting into some of those three-receiver sets.”

The Rams are now just two years removed from winning the NFC en route to reaching the Super Bowl, though it all culminated with a title game loss to the heralded New England Patriots.

However, the Rams were unable to duplicate the team's success this past season as Los Angeles failed to reach the postseason.

If the Rams are to bounce back in 2020-21, Los Angeles will need some serious production from Kupp, Reynolds and the rest of the squad.
