The Los Angeles Rams are not used to seeing star defensive lineman Aaron Donald at organized team activities, so when he is in attendance, it is a pleasant sight to see.

Rams head coach Sean McVay is happy about Donald's presence, joking that it's nice to see him in May:

“It’s nice having him around this time of year. I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed him,” a light-hearted McVay said, according to the Rams' official team website.

Not only is Donald around, but he is also setting the bar as far as hard work:

“He brings that intensity to the D-line. He’s pushing us in the weight room, just to get better,” fellow defensive lineman Michael Brockers said. “I appreciate that he’s out here because that’s a big-name guy. Usually you see them, they’re doing their own thing. But he’s out here working, working with us and getting better — so we appreciate that.”

Donald is coming off of a spectacular 2018 campaign in which he led the league with 20.5 sacks and also racked up 59 tackles, four forced fumbles and a couple of fumble recoveries en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Considered by some to be the most dominant defensive player in the NFL, the 28-year-old has made the Pro Bowl in all five of his NFL seasons and has also been named a First-Team All-Pro four years in a row.

Donald, who played his collegiate football at the University of Pittsburgh, was originally selected by the Rams with the 13th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.
