Last season, the Los Angeles Rams limped to the finish line with an interim head coach and an uncertain future. It didn't take long for the team to find a new head coach in the post-Jeff Fisher era, however, with Sean McVay, formerly of the Washington Redskins, getting the nod.

Seven games into his head coaching career, McVay has the Rams playing exceptionally well. Los Angeles is 5-2 and sitting atop the NFC West division following a dominant performance against the Arizona Cardinals. McVay, however, isn't jumping to any conclusions and is determined to stay the course, via Gary Klein of the L.A. Times.

“We haven’t arrived by any stretch,” McVay said, “but 5-2 is a good feeling. But that’s all it is right now.”

The Rams crushed the division rival Cardinals in Week 7. Los Angeles was on the road in London, England this past week to face Arizona and didn't miss a beat despite the long trip as they shutout Carson Palmer and company.

Los Angeles scored 33 points with Todd Gurley and Jared Goff leading the way. Gurley, who is once again making a strong case for the league's best running back, rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Goff threw and rushed for a touchdown on Sunday to go along with 235 passing yards and an interception.

After the impressive victory over the Cardinals, the Rams will head into their bye week before getting back to work in Week 9 against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Nov. 5.
