The Los Angeles Rams have one of the best running backs in the league in Todd Gurley but Sean McVay thinks it will be a balanced attack of Gurley and C.J. Anderson that will get the job done. Gurley is expected to be ready to go for this showdown against the Dallas Cowboys, but with the way Anderson filled in for him Week 16 and 17 McVay thinks it's important he also gets in the mix.

“If Todd’s able to go, we want to get him going,” McVay said via The Rams team website. “But I think we want to get C.J. [going] as well. So I think you can expect to see a good balance of both — some different things that maybe gets those guys on the field. But CJ’s done a great job through the last couple weeks. But getting Todd back is definitely a big boost as well.”

Gurley has taken a beating this year with the load he has had on his shoulders because the Rams have had problems finding a solid backup to take some of the carries.

With Anderson, they have a solid veteran who has proven that can be a contributing factor for the playoff run. In the last two games, Anderson has rushed for 299 yards and two touchdowns and has quickly gained the trust of his teammates.

The Cowboys have a solid defense and establishing the run early is going to be important. Look for McVay to feed the hot hand, even if that is Anderson.
